Dee Dee Jackson Foundation
As a tribute to my mother Dee Dee Jackson, and honoring her everlasting imprint on the lives of so many, so many, my brothers Taj, Taryll, and I have launched the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation. A non-profit organization built around the giving spirit and legacy of our mother. With your help, we're helping children in need. The Dee Dee Jackson Foundation brings awareness, volunteers and donations to underfunded, under-served youth programs everywhere.
The Dee Dee Jackson Foundation (DDJF) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that shines a light on loss and grief and how it impacts our lives in negative ways, especially for children. We are here to provide hope, resources and a community so no child feels alone in their grief.
Power of Love show
The weekly Power Of Love Show on LA Talk Radio (since 2016) presented by the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation provides hope, resources and a community so no one feels alone in their grief. Through the show that is hosted by TJ Jackson, Taryll Jackson and Taj Jackson, the brothers strive to build a community where they share inspiring stories, interview experts, learn, grow and empower one another to find healing. The DDJF's Power Of Love Show is also available on Apple Podcasts.
Music Heals therapy programs
Also the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation started to turn grief into action when 3T and volunteers took a hands-on approach to develop music therapy programs for vulnerable young people. In the first class of the Music Heals Therapy program, children, program staff with a music therapist work collaboratively to compose and record original songs as a tool to help cope with grief and loss, in over 6 weeks. In the Summer of 2016, the Music Heals Therapy program continued with a class for teens in the community of Watts/Willowbrook where kids work on their personal songs of loss and grief into hope and inspiration. DDJF’s Music Heals Music Therapy programs are offered at no charge and are 100% funded by contributions. Community awareness and support help children heal from loss and excel in life. A team of 3T fans organized a fundraising drive for Dee Dee Jackson Foundation and collected an amount of 800,00 US dollars in donations from about thirty fans. The cheque was presented to Taj, Taryll and TJ on September 17th, 2016 in Amsterdam.
